Ditto - AI Avatar Life ("Ditto", "we", "us") is operated by Cairn Labs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

• A selfie photo you provide to generate your AI avatar portrait
• Chat messages during the onboarding flow (used to build your avatar's personality)
• Your email address or phone number for authentication (via Apple Sign In / Supabase Auth)
• Push notification tokens for daily updates

How we use your data

Your selfie is sent to fal.ai to generate a stylized avatar portrait. Your onboarding chat is processed by Claude AI (Anthropic) to create your avatar's personality profile, and OpenAI generates an embedding for matching with other avatars. ElevenLabs provides text-to-speech narration for daily video clips. fal.ai generates images and videos of your avatar's activities.

All data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). Push notifications are delivered via Apple Push Notification service (APNs).

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal data to anyone
• We do not use your data for advertising or ad targeting
• We do not share your data with third parties beyond the services listed above

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Ditto. Each processes limited data as described above:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — avatar personality generation
• OpenAI — text embeddings for avatar matching
• fal.ai — image and video generation
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech narration
• Supabase (AWS) — database and authentication
• Apple (APNs) — push notifications

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data (avatar, events, media) by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
